You guys! I won the Feedback Friday 15 minute portfolio review from Anna Goodson Management and AGM decided to take me on! This really is a dream come true. I’ve been trying to get AGM as my rep for a couple of years and now it’s finally happened! I can’t wait to see what great things we’ll do together :)
It’s An Exquisite Beast’s 3 month birthday! They grow up so fast…It seems like only yesterday I was drawing Forester or Family Reunion. Now, here we are 92 drawings in a row (see what I did there?) and I think this bad boy’s still just a toddler. I have no idea when this thing will stop growing, so for now, just grab a slice of cake and celebrate!
Traditionally, 28 isn’t that big of a birthday, so I’m going to make it one. That’s right, dear readers, I’m giving you all a present! Enter the code REVERSEBIRTHDAY when you check out to receive 28% off of your entire order from my store! You better hurry, the offer ends when my birthday does! http://ocularinvasion.bigcartel.com/
Hey hey, all you Minneapolis…people(Is there a word for Minneapolis residents? Minneapolisians? Minneapolisites?). I’m going to have a booth at the School House Craft Fair this weekend! So, if you want a print from me, but don’t want to pay that pesky shipping, swing on by! It’s my first craft fair, so be gentle, OK? Part of the proceeds will go to the Armatage Montessori School Library.
Huge Shop Update
I’m finally making good on my first New Years’ Goal “Increase PRODUCTivity”. This week I added five new products to my shop! Check ‘em out won’t you? Every poster/print/button you buy will help me get to ICON 7 next year!
First up, a five color 18”x24” screen print—Forest Mist
Next a four color 18”x24” screen print—Rabbit Party!
And a 3 color, including glow in the dark!, 18”x24” screen print—Dearly Departed
Moving away from screen prints, a set of five 5”x7” giclee prints—5 by 5
Moving away from prints altogether—Buttons!
It’s that time of year again—the time where I get extremely lazy because all of the year’s best video games come out. In a preemptive assault against my own impending torpescence (yes, I used a thesaurus), I started a new project! Basically, I do one drawing everyday and post it up on http://anexquisitebeast.com/. The only rule is that each new drawing must continue from the last one, in effect, creating one massive sprawling drawing. I hope your scrolling finger is limber because it’s in for a workout!
If you’re in Las Vegas at Interbike, you can check out this poster in real life, the rest of you will have to settle for this jpeg. “But wait”, you say. “There must be some other way?”, you continue. Ravenously enthusiastic I reply with a resoundingly powerful, “YES!”
All you bike enthusiasts and road rash victims can purchase posters in my online shop once Interbike has wrapped on Friday!
I launched my redesigned shop earlier this week and to celebrate, I’m offering 25% off of everything! Just enter the code NEWNEW through Sept 6 Visit the shop
I’m guest editing for Coudal Partners this month! Let’s geek it up, people!
For those of you who couldn’t make it to the show, here’s my piece from What If…
Judging by the other pieces I’ve seen popping up around the internet, it would have been a really amazing show to go to. Check out pieces by Micah Lidberg, Will Bryant, David Hyuck, Julia Heglund, Little Friends of Printmaking (the cosmic cat piece), and that’s only a few of the 50 participating artists!
What If… Chicago Popup Art Show
If you’re in Chicago tomorrow evening, you best get to the What If… art show. It’s going to be an epic show of 50 artists’ visions of parallel universes. Unfortunately, I can’t make it myself, but I like to think that there’s a version of me in a parallel reality that will be there!
Here’s a small preview of my piece. You’ll have to go to the show to see what this guy’s so scared of…
